You are viewing our new stock of BritMet light weight roofing slate that we now keep in stock.
These slates measure 17.5″ x 11.5″ x 5 – 6mm thick and come in packs of 22 which equates to 1sq mtr per bundle.
The minimum pitch these slates can be laid is 12° and the max is a 90° pitch.
When laid on the roof they measure 12kg per m² ( individual weight = 0.6kg per slate). We also can provide the ridge and hips to match these slates : Ridge = 5.5 per linear metre & Hips = 5.5 – 6.5 per linear metre, so please do get in touch if you require any of these.
They come with a 50 year warranty on them and there is a full technical support page available on there website if specific info is required.
The BritMet liteslates are a great alternative to natural slates as they have a very similar aesthetic appearance at a fraction of the weight of a natural slate, meaning it is ideal for smaller roofs such as conservatories etc.
As they are made out of recyclable material another benefit to these slates is the fact that unlike natural slates when force is applied to them they do not crack or break as easily.
The listed price is for 1m² (22 slates) collected from our yard, but we can arrange delivery via pallet courier or our own transport. (Pallet rate can accommodate up to 1000kg).
